GUSHKA was born from an idea in 2016, in the pastures of Hutsulshchyna, in the Carpathians - a place where sheep are more than cattle, they are family. Founded by Oleh Lukaniuk and Daryna Furmaniuk, we asked our neighbour Lyubov Rybenchuk, a third-generation weaver, to join our team and make our vision a reality. Together, we set about creating a range of products including hand-woven rugs, woollen blankets, intricate tapestries, comfortable pillows and traditional Ukrainian clothing, each piece reflecting the essence of our rich heritage. Today, we are more than just a brand. We are a community that respects craftsmanship, cherishes tradition and values sustainability. Our products - from woollen garments to pillows, rugs and bedspreads - are living testimonies to the rich tapestry of Ukrainian culture and the unspoilt beauty of the Carpathians.
At GUSHKA, we are storytellers at heart, and every thread in our workshop has a story to tell. We don't sell myths, we offer a slice of authentic mountain life, as vibrant and textured as our wool. Our mission is to revive and modernise traditional Carpathian crafts while creating sustainable livelihoods for our local artisans.
